    From the 11th Century to the 14th Century, medieval clothing varied according to social heirarchy. Wealthy could afford more fashionable and expensive clothing, while the poor could not.

    The first English cookery book was written. It was called, "The Forme of Cury". It was filled with almost 200 recipes and 196 recipes were contributed by thte Royal cooks.

    Middle Ages torture was accepted in society as an effective form of intimidation and punishment; in 866, it was condemned.
