The Beginning
In the June of 1975, Gates and Allen created a partnership they named Microsoft with the vision of a computer and desktop in every home. -
Windows 1.0
Microsoft ships Windows 1.0 after 2 years of the initial announcement -
Windows 2.0
Microsoft realeases Windows 2.0 with added memory storage, improved graphics, ablility to overlap tabs, control the screen's layout, and desktop icons. -
Windows 3.0
Microsoft announces Windows 3.0, includes better graphics, 16 colors, better icons, with full support for the Intel processor. -
Windows 95
Released by Microsoft in 1995, it contains built-in support, dial up networking, and easy-install hardware. -
Windows 98
The very first Windows version created for users. -
Windows XP
Microsoft redesigned Windows and created it with more of a feel for helping the user and support services aviable in different lanuages. -
Windows Vista
Released with the strongest security system and contained a user account control to prevent harmful software from making changes to the users computer. -
Windows 7
Includes new ways to work with windows. -
Windows 8
Reimangined operating system and the most current today.
