Michael Jordan was born February 12, 1963. His basketball nickname is MJ. He is known as one of the best basketball players ever, and also his hard work and determination. One of the best players in the nation
The year before Michael Jordan was cut from his varsity basketball team as a sophmore. Michael was vey motivated to make the team the following year. He did, and he became one of the greatest players in high school basketball. Considering his reputation today, the coach probably feels like a fool. The Chicago Bulls drafted Michael Jordan at the 3rd overall pick in the 1984 draft. Considering Jordan as the greatest player ever, obviously he should have been drafted first. Nike signs Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan was a major prospect coming out of college and into the NBA. Nike signed Jordan soon after he was drafted to the Chicago Bulls. A year later they recognized his talent and they made his own brand, Jordan. Today, Jordan brand sells the most shoes out of any brand in the world.( "Michael Jordan"). Jordan wins the scoring title every year until 1998

Slam Dunk contest and his first MVP

Death of his father
This part was the roughest part of his career. Everyone including Michael Jordan reaches a bad part in their career. Michael Jordan's father, James Jordan, was shot and killed in a robbery. Jordan and the White Sox
Jordan took the year off from basketball and treated it as retirement. He played minor league baseball for the Chicago White Sox and he was terrible. The death of his father hit him very hard which lead him to leave basketball for awhile. The Chicago White Sox on the positive note, sold way more tickets then ever before. Adding a 4th ring to the collection
After a horrible past year due to the death of his father Jordan came back and won his 4th championship. He won the championship on father's day and it was one of the most emotional days of his career . Later on in the season on may 17, 1996, Michael was awarded with his 4th MVP (Schwartz). -

Music producers wanted to create a movie centered around the great Michael Jordan. Which is based on cartoon aliens that come to earth and take basketball talent away from all-star players but Michael Jordan. Yet again, Jordan win's his 5th title
This was possibly the hardest championship for him to win and probably the one he remembers the most. In Game 5 of the NBA finals MJ and the Bulls defeated the Jazz in the final seconds of the game due to a game winning shot by Jordan.
