13th amendment
The 13th amendment is what abolished slavery. It started the long road to equal rights for African Americans. Lincoln is the president who signed this amendment in to play. -
14th Amendment
This amendment gave equal rights to African Americans. They had the same rights, but were still very separate. -
15th Amendment
The 15th amendment gave equal voting rights to all males. While they had the right too, poll taxed and literacy tests stopped most African American voters. -
