    The Battle of Concord and Lexinton occured in Lexington and Concord,MA. This is the start of the war. The Britsh lose 273 men and the American's lose only 95. The Americans defeated the British.

    The Battle of Bunker hill took place on June 17, 1775 in Boston, MA. Most of the battle actually took place on Breed's Hill not Bunker Hill.The British won even though they lost 226 people compared to America's 115 deaths.

    The Battle of Trenton happend on December 26, 1776 in Trenton, NJ. Washington planned this battle on the Hessians because he knew Germans liked to celebrate on Christmas. He knew they would be drinking, so he planned a suprise attack on the hungover Hessians the next morning. The Americans won. The Americans lost 2, and the Hessians lost 22. This was a major turning point in the war in favor of the Americans.

    Valley Forge,Pennslyvania is where the Cointenetal Army stayed durring the winter of 1777 until the Spring of 1778.During this time Washington shaped up his army. It was a harsh winter ,so the army suffered food shortages, freezing temperatures, and illness. The army lost 2,500 people during this time.

    The surrender of Yortown happpend on October 19, 1781 in Yorktown, Virginia. Washington along with the French defeated Cornwallis. American's had 18,900 soilders against Britain's 9,000. The British were expecting troops to arrive to help, but the ships never arrived. The Americans lost 88 and had 301 injured. The British had between 142-309 deaths about 500 wounded and approximately 7600 captured.
