    First document of media was used. The nations moves forward with an industrial purpose. It also was the first use of the words visual education and visual instruction. Thomas Edison thought that books would be no longer produced or out of style.

    First use of sound and radios. Sound becomes important with TVs and radios. Peter Goldmark pioneers color television. This era was the start of the Great Depression

  • 1940’s-1950’s

    Was the beginning of World War Two, TV started to become a thing and they had about 242 education channels set aside.

  • 1960’s-1970’s

    1960’s-1970’s
    Televisions Started to enter the homes of people. Commercials were introduced. Ford foundation invested in educational TV and computers were invented.

  • 1980’s-1990’s

    1980’s-1990’s
    Microsoft came out with a new computer and it was very popular and not as expensive as other computers. Schools started to have Microsoft computers.

  • 2000-2003

    The internet started to become very popular and university’s are starting to teach students how to use the computers for school. Social media starting to become more popular.

    Facebook was created and started going out to college students. Facebooks popularity skyrocket. Also the DVR was created and the viewers had more control over what they wanted to watch.

    More social media was introduced, Twitter started to get very popular along with the Wii and play station.

  • 2011-2013

    2011-2013
    The 3D printed was invented and was put in offices and schools. Solar panels were also invented and were put up on roofs and in fields.

  • 2014-2016

    2014-2016
    More big stuff happened with social media, Facebook bought a $22 billion WhatsApp to go along with Facebook. Also the Apple Watch was released and bought beats electronics for $3 billion dollars.
