  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    This was the first battle of the Revolutionary War. The British had around 600 soldiers to the 70 of the Minutemen. They do not know who fired the first shot, but the British ended up winning the battle when the Minutemen fled.
  • Fort Ticonderoga

    Fort Ticonderoga
    After the battles of Lexington and Concord, Ethan Allen went to Fort Ticonderoga. They scavenged many weapons that were brought back to Boston for the Winter. Allen and Arnold argued about who should attack but it worked out in the end.
  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    Gregnwas motivated by 3 new generals to take out the colonists on Bunker Hill. There were around 2,500-4,000 people on the colonials side. They did not fire until they could see the whites of the British's eyes. The British lost 226 people and 826 people were wounded before the Colonials retreated.
  • Trenton/Princeton

    Trenton/Princeton
    General Howe knew that he was vulnerable. He thought that because it was Winter, the colonials would lose hope. George Washington sailed across the Delaware and took out the Hessians. Cornwallis tried to trap Washington, but they were able to get out and they met with the British army in Princeton.
  • Saratoga

    Saratoga
    The Colonials attacked with their bayonets and took over the hilltop. The British were pushed back to their original starting spots. The British lost 600 people to the Colonials 150. The British surrendered and it changed the Revolutionary War in favor of the Colonials.
  • Siege of Charleston

    Siege of Charleston
    The British brought 8,700 men to Tybee Island. The British started to attack the line of defense that Lincoln put up. Lincoln refused to siren rn and received 2,500 new men. When Lincoln finally surrendered 2,571 militians were captured.
  • Yorktown

    Yorktown
    Cornwallis put his 7,500 troops in Yorktown because they had a good harbor. Washington had the British surrounded by his troops and the French. There was no possible escape route. Cornwallis tried to escape through Gloucester. He was met by patriot troops and then surrendered a couple days after.
  • King's Mountain

    King's Mountain
    The force of the loyalists were made up of people from South Carolina. The patriots were trapped and were eventually beat because they were unwilling to surrender. The patriots lost a lot of people and loyalists only lost a few people.
