The Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand is attacked by 'The Black Hand' during a visit to the Bosnian capital city, Sarajevo. A Serbian member of 'The Black Hand', Gravrilo Princip, shot the couple while they travelled through the city. -
Ultimatum
As a reult of the murder of the Austrian hier to the throne, Austria sends an ultimatum to Serbia to weaken their occpuation of Bosnian territory and the Slavic population of the northern Balkans. One month after the murder on the Austrian Archduke, Austria-Hungary declared war on Bosnia. -
War pours over Europe
Austria-Hungary delcares war on Serbia triggering the beggining of the first World War.
