Hurricane Katrina struck my hometown of New Orleans in August of 2005. I was starting 4th grade. We thought it was gonna be a three day weekend. Hah, guess not.

After Katrina left us with no home and no city we decided to move to another unique funky town, Austin. We ended up staying with a old couple who took us in, Cynthia and Allen Ray.

After attending elementary at Hill Elementary. I decided to try something new. An all girls school.
