    The Haymarket Square Riot was a labor protest that took place near Chicago. During the event, someone threw a bomb. No one ever found out exactly who threw the bomb. Eight people were killed.

    The Ludlow Massacre was a strike gone awry. It was an attack by the Colorado National Guard and Colorado Iron Fuel Company on a large group of people in tents. The people in tents were families who went on strike. The tents caught on fire and over 24 people were killed.

These programs were a result of the Great Depression.Some of the programs that were included were the ending of prohibition, the Tennessee River law, a bill that paid commodity farmers to leave fields fallow, the right to create unions, and took away some laws with Public Works Administration.There were more laws involved.

    World War 2 can be described as the deadliest and most widespread fight to ever happen. It involved over 30 countries. The biggest conflict known to lead to the war was Adolf Hitlers invasions to other countries. Over 50 million people were left dead. This lasted from 1939-1945.

    Members of United Steelworkers of America decided to go on strike . The strike lasted 116 days. Many of the people on strike wanted new technology and better job security. The case ended up in the supreme court where the judge sent them back to work.

    This is a law amending the Fair Labor Standards Act. It's purpose was to do away with pay based on gender. John F. Kennedy helped accomplish this law. Before this law women were getting paid less than men.
  • Civil Rights Act of 1964

    This law prohibited discrimination. People were not to discriminate based on race, sex, gender, religion, or state origin. This ended segregation in the United States. Everyone was to be treated equally.
