Katniss voulunteers for her sister. Peeta Mellark is selected to go with Katniss to the Hunger Games from District 12.

Katniss and Peeta enter the games wearing costumes that have been lit on fake fire. The other competators dont like them already. Katniss and Peeta have started their training for the Hunger Games.

Katniss went to her private lesson for training. All of the judes were ignoring her and focusing on eating. Katniss got mad and shot an arrow through an apple in a pig's mouth. Later that night, the judges gave her a score of 11 out of 12.

Petta and Katniss go into an interview talking with a man while a crowd and all the districts are listening. Peeta says that he likes Katniss more than just a friend. The Hunger Games begin and Katniss has run as far away from others as she could. Many players have already died. She has faced near death expieriences such as dehydration, fireballs, and knives being thrown at her. Other players have chased her up a tree.

Katniss has escaped from death by unleashing a bee hive onto other players. Her and Rue have developed a friendship. They are sticking close to eachother. Rue ends up getting caught in a trap and killed. Katniss has just found peeta.

Peeta has been badly injured in his leg. Katniss has gone to the cornucopia to get ointment for his leg. She has gotten the oil but some more people die at the cornucopia. After Peeta's leg is stable enough to wobble along with, they head out of the cave they have stayed in for a long time. There are only 3 players left. One of the players dies which leaves Katniss and Peeta. They are about to eat poisinous berries that could kill them, but an announcer tells them to stop before they can.

Katniss and Peeta have won the Hunger Games! They get to watch the highlights of the Games during the award ceremony. The only problem Katniss and Peeta have now is to keep faking like they are in love which is why they both won the hunger games.
