    Windows 3.0 became most successful version of microsoft OS and rival to apple macintosh and coomodore amiga. Support ended December 21, 2001
  • Windows 3.1

    WIndows 3.1 improves system stability, expanded support multimedia, truetype fonts, and work group networking. Support ended December 21, 2001. OEM licensing for windows 3.11 on embedded systems continue until November 01, 2008

    It is the successor of the Windows 3.1 and the first of the windows 9x series.It introduced features such as the windows desktop, start menu, and the way the user navigates. Support ended December 21, 2001

    Reintroduced the start meny bacame a "service". Introduced Microsoft Edge and Cortana and fullscreen apps that were once on Windows 8.1 are now windowed. There are also virtual desktop on this version. Support ends October 14, 2025
