My Family Got a Pet Duck

I Won a Tennis Match
I used to play tennis and this was the day I won my first match. I was playing against another girl and it was the first time I had won by myself. -
New Horizons Flyby
This was the day that NASA's New Horizons spacecraft made it all the way to Pluto. It was sent to collect information for NASA to learn more about the Kuiper Belt and the objects in it. -
I Won An Award
This was the day I won student of the month for the district. I had to give a speech at a Blue Springs School District Board meeting. It was really nerve racking but I'm thankful that they chose me to accept the award. -
Britain Leaves EU
Voting was held on this day for people to decide if Britain should leave the European Union. Leave won by 51.9% to 48.1%. Now Britain is no longer a member of the European Union. -
Going to the Omaha Zoo
This was when I went to the Omaha Zoo with my Girl Scout Troop. It was the summer between fifth and sixth grade. We drove three and a half hours to get there and we had a great time. We saw a lot of different plants and animals and really enjoyed the experience. -
St.Louis Vacation
This was the time I went to St.Louis with my cousins. We stayed at a hotel on a military base. We went and saw the arch, the courthouse, and a lot of other popular landmarks found in St.Louis. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the trip. -
My First Day of Seventh Grade
My first day of seventh grade was very exciting. I was kind of nervous but I soon found out that I had nothing to worry about. It was nice to get to meet a lot of students and teachers and become familiar with everything around me.
