President Abraham Lincoln was watching a show with his wife in Ford's Theater. In the massive laughter of the audience during "Our American Cousin," a bullet burst through the head of LIncoln and after getting caught on the framed photo of Washington he broke his leg.
-
After breaking his leg, John Wilkes Booth made a break for the alleyway where his horse waited, held by a random stranger he'd asked to hold the bay mare. He mounted and rode down the road into the darkness of Washington DC.
-
Sentries halt Booth at the bridge and request an answer to why he was trying to get outta DC at this hour. He makes an excuse and they moronically let him through. Herold, 10 mins later also convinces them to let him through.
-
After a quick reunion, Booth and Herold rush to an inn to gather pre stashed supplies. After doing so, they ride to the house of Dr. A Mudd who treats Booth's leg. After a brief rest, Mudd orders them outta his house and through Zekiah Swamp to meet with a Confederate Sympathizer (Samuel Cox).
-
Cox directs them to a hidden zone (pine tree thicket). They hide there for five days. The troops searching for them come close enough that Booth hears them. During these five days, the majority of Booth's accomplices were all rounded up and turned over for questioning.
-
A 100 grand reward bounty is offered to the man who captures Booth and turns him over to the Union.
-
After an idiotic, first try failiure, Booth and Herold make it across the Potomac, expecting friendly faces. Instead, they are given the Sharp End Of The Stick and are just given edibles. Then they are urged onward by the townspeople, who don't want any trouble.
-
After some help from Confederate Soldiers, Booth adn Herold find themselves at Richard Garrett's farm. The two then proceed to camp out in Rich's Tobacco Barn.
-
The troops search for over 24 hours. Extra help provided by civilians leads 'em to Garret's Farm. Garret betrays the 2 and tells the troops that they are camping out in his tobacco barn. Herold surrenders like a coward but Booth isn't afraid and refuses orders to come out.
-
At 3:00 AM the barn is set ablaze and Booth runs for the door but his neck is pierced by the bullet of Sergeant Boston Corbette. Booth succumbs to the reaper's choke hold around 7 in the morning. The hunted was hunted and The Old Man Of America" was avenged.
