    Willie died in 1862 from a fever that had no cure. In 1850 edward died from lung disease before his fourth birth day. In 1871 Tad died after going to chicago. On July 16, 1882 Mary Todd Lincoln died from oldness.

    In 1856, he tried to run for vice-president and failed. He had previously failed 4 other times in elections.He ran for the Illinois General Assembly once, the US Congress once, and the US Senate twice. All of those times he lost.

    Abraham Lincoln started the Secret Serves on April 14, 1865. That was also the day that he died later in the afternoon. He did not create the Secret Service to protect the president. The Secret Service didn’t start protecting the president till two more presidents were assaccened. It was created to stop the counterfeit money.
