    • With the New York Knicks struggling Lin was called upon to help turn things round against the New Jersey Nets. He hit new career highs of 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists off the bench in the 99-92 with over the Nets. He would then go on to start his first game for the Knicks.
    • In his first start against the Jazz he scored 28 points and had 8 assists and then in his second start against the Wizards he scored 23 points and had 10 assists in wins that turned the Knicks fortunes around

    • 10th Feb: After turning the Knicks fortunes around guiding them to multiple wins, Lin comes up big against the Lakers outscoring Kobe Bryant to notch a new career high of 38 points. He also logged 7 assists in the heroic win for a New York team heading back to the .500 mark.
    • 11th Feb: Lin logs 20 points and 8 assists in another Knicks win.
    • Lin moved onto become the first ever NBA player to have at least 20 points and 7 assists in their first four career starts.

    • In his first third, fourth and fifth career starts he scored 89, 109 and 136 points. All three are the most by any player since the ABA/NBA merge on 1976-77.
    • He was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week after averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 assists and 2 steals in four starts
    • He was added in to the NBA Rising Stars Challenge at the 2012 All Star Weekend in Orlando. He will also be participating in the Dunk Contest as an assister to his New York teammate involved.
