Haden Edwards along with his supporters became an independent republic and called it Fredonia. -
Manuel Mier y Teran writes that there are much more whites and they are taking over the Mexican population of Texas. -
The Law of April 6th, 1830 was a law written so that Mexico had more power in numbers in Texas. These rules eventually were too much for the Texans and they let go of the anger. -
The people and leaders of Anahuac wrote a series of statements called the Turtle Bayou Resolutions. This showed that the Texans were still in support of Mexico. -
The Conventions of 1832 and 1833 were conventions that allowed the Texans to state their requests to Santa Anna. The Texans Asked for many things to be changed, including revoking the April 6th Law -
On October 2nd, 1835 the Texans won the Battle of Gonzales. -
On October 9th 183 Ben Milam and around 50 Texan Soldiers defeated thirty Mexicans by Sneak Attack. -
The Texans were told by Erasmus "Deaf" Smith that he had seen Mexican Soldiers with Mules who were approaching San Antonio. James Bowie and his men stopped and killed the Mexicans but all they had with them was Grass. -
In December of 1835, the Texans defeat General Cos who had surrendered giving Texas control of San Antonio. -
On February 24th, 1836 Mexican force began their 13-day siege on the Alamo. -
On March 27th, 1836 three groups of Captured Texan Soldiers from Goliad were executed. In the panic of fire though 28 men were able to escape. -
General Sam Houston and his men sneakily attacked the Mexican forces while they were sleeping. They screamed "Remember the Alamo," "Remember Goliad." This won Texas their independence. -
The Treaty of Velasco was Signed officially recognizing Texas as an Independent Country.
