  • Soldiers call out Hassan about his mother

    While Amir and Hassan are walking to the movie, soldiers call out Hassan and make fun of him for his mother because she sleeps around. They shame Hassan and when they finally get to the movie Amir comforts him, "I reached across my seat, slung my arm around him, pulled him close. He rested his head on my shoulder. "'He took you for someone else,''' I whispered.(Hosseini 7)"
