Hassan Says Amir as his first word
Amir was very exited to see Hassan, as "It was there, in that little shack, that Hassan was born in the winter of 1964, just one year after my mother died giving birth to me." Hassan's mom would than run away from home, in result both Amir and Hassan lossed their mothers early in age. -
Soilders make fun of Hassan's mother.
The spilders tried to get in Hassan's head by saying,"I knew your mother, did you know that? I knew her real good. I took her from behind that creek over there"(7.) -
Amir decdies to run, and not help Hassan.
Amir, sees Hassan in the alley way with Assef, and hears Assef abusing hassan. But despite Hassan always standing up for him, "In the end, I ran"(77.)Amir was scared Assef would hurt him too, so he decided to pretend not eeing Hassan. -
Amir and Hassan win the kite race
Amir badky wanted to win the race, as he wanted to gain respect from people like Baba and Rahim Khan. And when Amir finally won, ".. I saw Baba standing on the roof. He was standing on the edge, pumping both of his fists"(66.) Amir felt verys satisfied, as he has finally impressed Baba. -
Amir Calls Hassan a coward
Despite Amir hurting hassan several times, he resfuese to hit back. In Result Amir states,"Your a coward!, Nothing but a goddamn coward"(92.) -
Amir frames hassan with the watch
Amir knows that if Baba catches him with his watch he will get inm assive trouble, so he puts the watch under Hassan's bed, and Baba accuses Hassan. Hassan bales Amir out again, and Amir notcies he is a, "Liar, a cheat, and a theif"(105.) Amir is a real coward, and he's scared to show it. -
Ali and Hassan Leave
Under extreme hope, Baba makes his final push,"Please"(107.) Baba had never cried before, and it shows that he cared alot for Hassan and Ali, as he feels bad he didnt care enough for them. -

Baba Dies
Right after Baba dies, the hard reality starts sinking in for Amir,"Its done then. Im eighteen and alone. I have no one left in the world. Baba's dead and now i have to bury him."(116.)Amir is in disbelief, as he has nothing to use,no friends, he is all alone. -
Baba and Amir go to America
Despite being new comers to America,"Just one month after arrival in the US, Baba found a job..."(130.) Baba and Amir fit in nicely to live life, and they get immediate oppurtunities. -
Final Soviet Troops levae Kabul
Due to the odd ways the Soviets had tried to fix Kabul, the US made peace talks with them. Unfortunatly "They left behind a country that was not only devasted by war but that had become a beacon to islamic extremists..."(2.) -
Amir and Soraya have their marriage
Despite Amir having rinkles with Soraya's family, they do marry, and in result Amir tries to be nice to the General."I Think I agree with General Sahib"(188.) He understands he is on thin ice, so he tries to sweet talk him to get more leverage. -
Amir rescues sohrab
Sohrab was in very big danger, as he was being brutually beaten. But really, Sohrab had saved his with the slingshot,"You saved my life, i owe you a thank you"(298.) Sohrab, like Hassan is very humble and said it needed to be done. -
Afganistan Rule receives controversy
With all the countries comig to Afganistan for different reasons, "The power was anarchically divided among competing warlords and indivdual fiefdoms."(2.) It dropped many speculations that nothing would get done. -
Taliban fully take over Afganistan
Wit many countries backing out of Afganistan due to the overwhelimg problems it possesed the Talban "...posed strcit enforcement of fundamental Islamic law, banning movies and music and forcing women out of schools and into all-enveloping burqa clothing"(3.) -
Osama Bin Laden arives at Jalabad
The talivan was ruled by Bin Laden, and "The Taliban also provided a safe haven for Mr. Bin laden..."(3.) So this made his stay much more welcoming. -
The Hazaras die
Amir and Hassan are in complete Joy, as the Taliban have announced the stop of daily fighting. Unfortunatley,"A few weeks later, the Taliban banned hite fighting. In 1998, they massacred the Hazaras in Mazar-i-Sharif"(213.) As they prematurely celebrated, the celebration didn't last long, and the end to violence was more of a joke rather than a law. -
Sohrab flies his kite
Sohrab and Amir fly their first kite, andfor the first time, Amir sees joy in Sohrab as, "I looked down on sohrab. One corner of his mouth had curled up just so. A smile. Lopsided"(370.)Sohrab finally is living with Amir , and Amir has fully atoned to Hassan from his past mistkaes. -
Amir recieves phone call from rahim Khan
Rahim Khan explains how Amir has unatoned work he must do, Amir knows what he is talking about, "...There's a way to be good again"(2.) -
Hamid Karzari was elected president
Afganistan had high hopes for Karzari as "...he hoped to secure peace for Afganistan and win the country much-needed international aid"(3.) -
Gen. Petraeus becomes United States Central Demand
Obama had lots of faith in him and his faith was proven right when "...the pace of American operations stepped up tremedously..."(1.)
the general quickly made Afganistan a safe place that the Taliban had little wiggle room in. -
Obama annouces plan for deplotation of troops in Afganistan
As Bush did not complete their promise to help the country, Obama quickly reacted to deploy troops. Despite this, "he vowed to start bring american forces home from Afganistan in the middle of 2011"(4.) -
Obama backtracks on promise
As the Taliban grows stronger the US has tried to stay in Afganistan longer. "...The united States will have forces in the country until at least the end of 2014"(4.) -
Al Queda attacks the United States
Due to the mass amount of lives the suicidal mission coasted Bush decided to take serious aaction as "After the attack on the world trade center in New York on Sept. 11, 2001, President George W. Bush gave tha taliban an ultimatum to hand over Mr. [Osmama] Bin Laden" (3.) -
Sohrab attempts suicide
Amir knows he must take full care of Sohrab, and because Sohrab doesn;t want to go to back to the orphange, he attempts suicide. Sohrab survives the suicide attempt, but faces the same terrors, "That's how children deal with terror, they sleep"(342.) Sohrab feels he shouldn't have tried, but wants to live with Amir.
