  • Sopwith Camel

    Sopwith Camel
    Sopwith Camel was intended to be a replacement for the Sopwith Pup.The prototype was first flown into Brooklands on 22 December 1916, it was powered by 116 hp Clerget 9Z. It's fuselage, wing and tail were all covered in fabric. It featured a box-like fuslage structure. It's weapons (Vickers machine guns) were mounted directly in front of the cockpit firing through the propellor disc with synchronisation gear. Click for more information

    Hawker Fury
    The Hawker Fury was a development of the earlier Hawker Fury F.20/27, replacing it's old engine with the new Rolls Royce FXI
    V-12 engine. It's primary users were the RAF, Royal Yugoslav Air Force, South African Air Force and the Spanish Air Force.Click for more info.

    Hawker Hurricane
    Produced between 1937-1944. 14,533 were built. It was used by the RAF and the Royal Canadian Air Force. Largely renowned for it's part in the Battle of Britain where it accounted for 60% of RAF's victories in battle. Click for more info.

    Used by Royal Navy, German Navy, Royal Netherlands Navy and the Indian Navy. Only 542 were built. Retired in 1983 Click for more info.

    Hawker Hunter
    1,972 were built. Used by RAF, Indian Air Force, Swedish Air Force and Swiss Air Force. It is still active today with the Lebanese Air Force. Click for more info.

    The design of the Harrier was derived from the Hawker P.1127. It had vertical take-off, meaning it could take-off without a runway. Produced between 1967-1970s. Used by RAF, United States Marine Corps, Spanish Navy and Royal Thai Navy.Click for more info.
