The Khmers abandoned Angkor.

The Siamese ( Thai) launched an attack on the Khmer Kings and successfully conquered. -
The Vietnamese army defeated the Khmer forces.
The armies of the Vietnamese repeatly attempted to attack the Khmer forces at the Mekong River delta and they prevailed. This determined the modern border of Cambodia. -
