    The Start Of The Protesting
    Students at Kent State were protesting the invasion in Cambodia. A fight broke out that evening between police and protestors. Mayor Satrom declared a state of emergengy.

    Rumors of the protesting spread through the campus. Later that day over a thousand protesters sorrounded the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and lit it on fire. When the National Guard showed up, they used tear gas and rubber bullets to gain control of the campus.

    On May 3rd at 8pm a crowd of student gathered at the commons, rufusing to go to bed. The national gruard dropped tear gas from helicopters. They were told to fire if necessary.

    On this very mournful day, we commerate the lives of four classmates. These classmates lost their lives protesting, or walking to the next class. Jeffrey Miller, Alison Krause,Sandra Scheuer, and William Schroeder were unfortunately murdered by the national guard including 12 students that were shot.
