    The Battle of Lexington and Concord were the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. The famous "Shot heard around the World" was fired there. The British won the battle of Lexington, but the American's won the battle of Concord using gurrilea warfare.

Due to this the American army was instructed not to fire until they see the "whites" of the British eyes. General Prescott was the leader of the patriot army.

The British won the battle and later took control of New York until 1783. This was a crushing defeat for the patriots as it looked as if the war may be lost.

    The Battle of Trenton was a suprise attack lead by George Washington. Washington crossed the Delaware river at night in a snow storm and attacked 14,000 Hessian soldiers.
