The partnership purchased land for the construction of a new, two-story factory along the Rock River in Illinois. The factory produced about 100 plows in 1842 and around 400 plows in 1843.

Deere's partnership with Andrus ended and the Company relocated to Moline, Illinois. The new location provided better transportation routes with access to railroads and the Mississippi River. Deere & Company is still located in Moline to this day.
