Andrew Jackson was born on March 15th, 1767 in Waxhaws which is in the middle of South Carolina and North Carolina. His parents were Elizabeth and Theodore Jackson. He had two brothers, Hugh and Robert Jackson.

American troups under General Jackson defeated a smaller force of Upper Creek American warriors. It was also the final battle of the Creek War which was part of the War of 1812.

The battle of New Orleans was placed after the Treaty of Ghent when British troups in the gulf coast didn't know to hault back the attack. Jackson hurried over to New Orleans with his 4,500 soldiers and killed 2,000 soldiers on the British side while only eight were killed on the U.S. side. That was also the last armed engagement with the United States and Britan.
