    Declaring Independence

    The United Nation wanted to separate the British controlled Palistine, into Arab and Jewish states. Arabs didn't like it, and they wanted their own independence and wanted war for it. Israel declared independe in May 1948.
  • Six Day War

    Egpty were getting their soldiers ready, and the Jews took it offensively and came by surprisded, and attacked them. Syria, Jordan, and Irag joined in with them. This attack was then known the Six Day War.

    Settlements Through Communties

    After 1967 through today, Israeli and Palestinians had to settle in. The Jews could settle in through West Bank and Gaza, Occupied Territories. The settlements were illegal, but the Jews believe that its where they should stay. They had saftey zones where the Palestinians aren't allowed to come through, roads they aren't suppose to use, and crops to grow.
  • Yom Kippur War

    On Yom Kippur, a Jewish holiday, Syria and Egpyt surprise attacked the Israelis in Sinai and the Golan Heights. Israel wanted them to stop firing after initial gain by Egpty and Syria. This war is called the Yom Kippur War.

    Young Soliders - Intifada

    While Israeli's continue to stay where the Palestinians are staying, kids were throwing stones at the Israeli soliders, also attacking them. On 1989, the first suicide attack on the civilians occured. The uprising voilence was called Intifada, lasted through 1990.
