This is the first zionist congress. It was organized by theodor herzl.The congress had officially annouced the zionism goal of establishing a legally assured home for the jewish people.it was being comviced that the long history of oppression and persecution of jews woud not stop until jews were able to live in their own home or land. -

During the world war 1 The bristish commissioner henry mcmahon made a promise saying that britian would grant the indipendence to some of the arab areas after that the promise was not due as henry mcmahon said it would. -

This was confirming that there was some support of the british goverment for the establishment for the national home for the jewish people. -

divided ottoman lands between the british and french war after the war world war 1 , The mandate was incorporated the language of the baulfour decleration. The arab population nearly doubled from natural increase & immigration from neighbooring arab countries. arab also resisted the jewish grew , the british to sharply limit jewish immigration. -

Y=The nazi germany attacked and conquered most of europe , the jews were persecuted There was a camp for jewish people , the holocoust , there was a murder of 6 million jews , British people refuse to allow the jews to flee nazi persecution and enter the palestine mandate. Alot of countries closed the doors for jewish people refugees once the horror of the holocoust came to light international support for the creation of jews state increased. -
UN Partition Plan
Admist growing tensions between arabs , jews and the british in november 19th , 1947 the UN general asembly voted to partition to palestine mandate into an arab state and jewish state to internanlize the state of jeruslem. -

The jews were prevented for accesing their holy sites in the old city. Arab countries would not enter into a peace agreement with israel. -
