The Quran served as the document's foundation, with the Belgian constitution providing as a part model.

    Mahmoud Ahmadinejad received 62 percent of the vote in the election. Mir-Hossein Mousavi got 34% of the vote. The results had a lot of errors in them, which surprised people. Many Iranians people supported the protests and called the elections unfair. Mousavi say that 14 million unused votes had gone missing, allowing the Interior Ministry to start messing with the results. The pro-Mousavi demonstrations were  Considered illegal by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

    Sahar Khodayari was an Esteghlal F.C. fan from Iran. In March 2019, she attempted to enter Azadi Stadium dressed as a guy to watch a match played by the team, ignoring the fact that women are not allowed to visit such events in the country. The Islamic Revolutionary Court of Tehran warned her on September 2 of that year that she could face a six-month prison sentence. She killed herself by self-immolation in front of the building after leaving court. Her injuries killed her life a week later.
