Inventors/Innovators Timeline

  • John Kay's Fly Shuttle

    John Kay's Fly Shuttle
The fly shuttle was an important part in the industrial revolution. it allowed people to make string better, but it needed someone to run it which meant moor workers. Today we use it in our clothing factories.

  • James Hargreaves's Spinning jenny

    James Hargreaves's Spinning jenny
This creation allowed wool and cotton to be spun into string a lot faster, but sadly it created a big demand for workers (in poor working conditions) to spin it. Today we use it in our clothing factories
  • Richard Arkwright's Inventions

    Richard Arkwright's Inventions
He created peaces for things to created string and fabric, the things that he made were water frame and a spinning frame. These inventions, like others, had there down sides witch for these just so happened to be the need for more workers to work long hard hours. Today we use it in our factories that make fabric or things that we use fabric for like clothing
  • Richard Trevithick's steam engine

    Richard Trevithick's steam engine
Richard trevithick made the steam engine. it lead to thing like the steam boat that allowed fast travel but the steam engine also lead to some bad thing like pore work conditions in factory's where it was also used.
  • Samuel Crompton's Spinning mule

    Samuel Crompton's Spinning mule
Like many other items on this time line this is another one that was made for clothing. The spinning mule is a combination of Arkwright's water frame and James Hargreaves' spinning jenny, but sadly like the other items on this time line it had its down falls. Someone needed to run it causing long working hours with bad conditions
