Also, it led to social and political changes.

    On May 26, 1773, John Kay invented the Flying Shuttle. The Flying Shuttle passed the shuttle of yarn from side to side in the weaving loom. This greatly increased the productivity of a textile mill. It was needed because the mills were not producing fabrics fast enough. This changed society because it increawsed the demand of yarn. Also, it decerased the cost of making fabrics.

    The Cotton Gin waws invented by Eli Whitney in 1793. The Cotton Gin was used to clean the cotton. It produced 50 times more clean cotton a day compared to cleaning cotton by hand. It was needed because of the growing demand for cotton in Europe. It was avaliable in Southern United States. Furthermore, it changed society by making cotton the main crop of the south, the United States became a global force, and slavery increased.

    In 1807, Robert Fulton buit the clermont. It was a mall snub-nosed steamboat that traveled 150 miles from New York City to Albany in 32 hours. This created a enhancement in the water transportation business. This changed society because it led to the Livingston-Fulton monopoly on the steamboat industry.
