    Women's sufferage was a movement that gave women all the civil rights their male counterparts had. We believe that women's sufferage started with the Declaration of Sentiments. Women's suffersge was led by women by Susan B. Anthony and Carrie Chapman Catt. The 19th Amendment passed in 1920 gave women the right to vote on a national level.

Many people had a disire to move to America to be something more then they could be where they lived. America was seen as a land of opprituntity. This was why immagrants came to the US, it was simply to live a dream

    Mass production is the production of large amounts of standardized products, including the assembly lines. With job production and batch production it is one of the three main production methods. This also helped start up the Industrial Revolution with the help of Henry Ford who created the assembly line. This impacted the U.S. by helping speed up the factories in the creation of porducts.

    The Chinese Exclusion Act was the act that restricted the Chinese from gaining citizenship. Americans thought they were dirty, under hand, unAmerican, and devil worshipers. They also thought the Chinese weren't learning American customs. Americans were most scared of them taking over America and stealing jobs. This impacted the U.S. by portraying how stuck-up and snobbish the Americans portrayed.

    Child Labor was once an accepted part of American society and was greatly encouraged. During the Industrial Revolution, young people of both sexes were expected to work in mainly factories, but there were other jobs to do as well. In many families as long as you were able to talk you were expected to work no matter your age. This impacted the U.S. by arranging laws for the legal age limit to work.

    Theodore Roosevelt became the president of The United States of America in 1901. He was seen as a very strong and powerful leader wh would lead us to great things. He became known as the trust busting breaker because he would go in to many unruly trust bustings and break them apart. This impacted the U.S. by ending many trust busts and creating many laws against trust busting.

    The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire really opened America's eyes. 146 of the 275 workers burned or jumped to their death. Many Americans saw first hand the results of unregulated factory condition. The shirtwaist fire brought about unions and much more.

    The Immigration Act put immagration quotas in place. They only let in certain amounts of people of each nationality. This kept populations down and it also made America look like a bunch of stuck up snobby jerks. Americans were obviously feeling threatend by the amount of people who were un-American taking over Americ.
