  • Jethro Tull invents the seed drill

    Jethro Tull created a horse drawn plow for planting seed we call the seed drill. This was an important invention because it allowed for more seeds to take root. Before people use to scatter the seed by hand but this was a waste because many seeds didn't take root. With this invention it planted the seed in uniform rows for better crop turn out.
  • John Kay invents flying shuttle

    The invention of the flying shuttle allowed for easier and faster way of weaving. Before this invention it required two people to weave one rug but this only required one making it more efficient and faster. This helped move textiles into a larger buisness.
  • James Watt builds the first steam engine

    James Watt creast the first steam engine an important device used for transportation and machines. This helped improve factories efficiency by getting rid of the need for human labor. Overall this helped progress the Industrial Revolutino greatly because of it use in trains and factories
  • Marx and Engels publish The Communist Manifesto

    This book written by Carl Marx and Fredric Engels talked about the ideas for a better society. They talked about socialism and communism and how these forms of government created the perfect society in which people worked for the greater good.
  • US Civil War ends; US experiences technological boom

    The US in 1865 started to beome one of the most prominent figures in the Industrial revolution. This started when they found out that they sat on a pile of resources such as coal and iron. Along with cheap labor this helped start many factories in the US. When the US built railroads alaround this allowed for better transportation and a wider market.
  • Germany becomes dominant industrial power in Europe

    Like many other countries Germany's revolution started with the finding of coal in the coountry. Germany started late though and so they send there children to Britian. This ideas allowed for Germany to become moe urbanized and eventually a power.
  • British Unions win right to strike

    During the Industrial Revolution worker tried to strike against the factory owners but because the Factory Owners held all the power they made it illegal to prevent there workers. Workers seeing this as unfair struggled to change it and eventually won gaining huge powers in Britian
