    Jethro Tull
    Invented the seed drill. The seed drill is a device used by farmers to sow seeds in rows to make farming much neater.

    He created the process of smelting iron. This removed iron from its ore creating stronger, more durable iron. This was key to the Industrial Revolution because it made iron cheaper, and it made it better quality. It was a great contribution becuase many, many things were built using iron, including buildings and railroads.

    He created the first steam engine. It was used to pump water out of coal mines. It was a machine that no longer ran on human power, it could pump water by itself through its production of steam power.

    He invented the spinning jenny. This machine increased the amount of threads spun. It spun multiple threads at one time. This invention helped to really increase the textile industry.

    He invented the spinning frame. This produced stronger threads of yarn by the way it spins it. This was first powered by water, and later by other ways. This helped to increase the pace with which thread was spun.

    He improved the Newcomen steam engine. He notices that Necomen's machine wasted a ton of energy when it would heat and cool. So, he improved on this, and it allowed for the machines to have better power, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

    Created interchangeable parts. These allowed for the repairing of equipment to go quicker. Also, this started mass production of creating the same exact things over and over, first being a rifle. He also invented the cottan gin. This machine helped revolutionize the cotton industry because it separated the seeds from the cotton, which took hours upon hours by hand.

    He created the first steam locomotive. This helped to transport people or supplies much, much faster than before. It helped to increase how far people could travel and how fast. Plus, it increased the transportation of goods across land.

    A German philosopher who promoted the idea of "scientific socialism." He said explained the "have's" and "have-not's." He said the have's are the middle class and the have-not's are the proletariat, or the working class. He said everything is a battle between these two classes. Also, introduced the idea of cummunism.
