  • Changes in Technology

    Their were many different changes in technology during this time period. A lot of technology invented during that time is still in use today. Technology such as trains was created to make life easier for people.The different Technological advances during this time transformed the world.
  • New Ideas

    During this time period their were very many new ideas. Their were ideas such as Laissez Faire which meant that the government had little or no say in peoples companies. Their were also many changes in the idea of equality among races and genders.
  • Poor working conditions

    During this time the conditions factory workers were working in were terrible. Factory workers faced dangers while working among heavy machines. workers would also develop many lung conditions later on in life because the air was so thick with smoke. workers were also mistreated by their superiors.
  • Steam engine

    The first comercially successful steam engine was built. This is very segnificant because helped people travel longer distanceswhile carrying more things in a shorter shorter amount of time. Steam engines were also a very big part of the American civil war to transport soldiers and equipment.
  • Construction of rail roads

    The creation of railroads was one of the most important things of the Industrial Revolution. Railroads were one of the greatest thing that happened to America because they made it possible to travel across the whole country in a couple of days. They brought a lot of social, economic and political change to the country. They also helped the North win the war
  • Industrial Revolution moves to other parts of the world

    The Industrial Revolution begun to move of England and take hold around the world. The Industrial Revolution moved to the west where they put down many different train traks and stations. The Industrial Revolution also begun to take hold in other European countries following in the steps of England.
  • Masked workers begin the luddite movement

    Luddites were men who took the name of a mythical individual, The Luddites were trying to save their livelihoods by smashing industrial machines developed for use in the textile industries. Workers who became Luddists had often face abuse at the work place. They were trying to change the way workers were treated.
  • Public takes notice in poor conditions

    The 1934 textile strike failed to bring the transformation in work conditions and social relations that the strikers had hoped to win and was widely considered a devastating defeat for workers. The workers then wrote a letter to Washington to tell them about the slave like conditions they were working in. The workers asked for inmprovements in the conditions.
  • Parliament legalized labor movements

    In the eighteenth century, most countries made labor unions illegal. labor unions succeeded in formin and got political power which resulted in the legislation of labor movements. With the legalization of labor unions employers have to follow certain rules to protect their employees.
  • New Inventions

    During this time period of time their were very many new inventions coming up. In 1906 radio broadcasting began. In 1916 the first sonar was created. Assembly line production began. And in 1939 the first Helicopter was invented.
