    After creating the Continental Army with George Washington at the lead, William Prescott lead 12,000 colonial troops to build forts on the top of Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill. After 4 hours of working they dug small crude forts. Meanwhile General Howe had just received fresh troops, and the fort worried him so he ordered an immediate attack.While the British assembled themselves at the bottom of the hill, William Prescott ordered them to attack only when they they saw the whites of their eyes.

    The Crisis was written by a person named Thomas Paine to help the colonists to understand that they should rebel. It also helped G.W command his troops when they were really low on moral and wanted to give up. Before the crisis the stress at new york was so hard to overcome and it was really bad for the New yorkers. In many ways the Crisis was a turning point to the battle because it inspired the troops and also helped the New Yorkers. Tom was a poor student with a pen and he wrote two books.

    The Surrender at Yorktown, in 1781, was a moment in history that affected America in many ways. General Cornwallis, the leader of the British army posted that he wanted to stop for a quick rest in the town of Yorktown since he was “tired of marching around the country with his soldiers.The French and the Americans had set a trap which sealed off chesapeake bay making it impossible for Cornwallis to escape through sea. Cornwallis fell into the trap, signifying a victory in American history.
