In Febuarary 1966 Ho Chi Minh and his men began thier assalt on South Veitnam. Ho wasnt able to fight because he was getting old and his health wasnt that good. -
Presedent Johnson asks for peace talk
in 1967 presedent Johnson tries to talk Ho Chi Minh into talking about peace as soon as communist is abolished. Ho Chi Minh response by saying "If the United States Government really wants talks, it must first halt unconditionally the bombings and all other acts of war against the Democratic Republic of Vietnam". -
Attack on Five major cities
Ho Chi Minh planned a major assalt on 5 major cities and small villages. On March 31st Presedent Johnson halts the bombing in North Veitnam and calls for peace talk to happen. -
Ho Chi Minh's Death
Ho Chi Minh died on September 3, 1969. he died when his heart gave out. Ho Chi Minh was was 79 years old when he died.
