    The National Labor Committee forms in 1904, whose goal was the abolishment of child labor this committee will promote more wide spread awareness about the cruelty of child labor. (CL,S4).

    When Lewis Hines takes photographs about the harsh reality of child labor more people are brought to action. CL,S4.
  • 1918

    In 1918 congress and abolishonist both tired to pass a act prohiting child labor but the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional which set back the progress. CL,s5.
  • Child Labor Admendment

    In the 1920's the act to give congress power to regulate child labor was stalled resulting in the stalling action of defeating child labor. CL,S5.
  • Success

    In 1920 the amount of child laborers have been chopped in half creating success for people who see the trettory of child labor. (CL,S5).
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

    In 2009 the fair labor standards act gives all workers including youth a minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. This will ensure that the parents will get better pay letting young children go back to school or if children are still working they won't have to work as many hours. CL,S4)
  • 1924

    In 1924 the congresses passed a constitutional amendment prohibiting Child Labor but the states did not ratify it. Setting us back once again in our engagement to end child labor. (CL,S5)
