    A mob of colonist in boston began to harass British, and british opened fire. Five colonist were shot and killed. the colonist and british supported two different point of view, the british lined up and fired on order, and the colonist turned rabid and attacked the british soldiers.
  • American Revolution

    First shots for independance were fired at lexington and concord. The cause of the battle was for America's independance from Great Britian.
  • Declaration of Independance

    Declaration of Independance
    Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams wrote te Declaration of Independance. This document established our independance from Great Britian.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    Louisiana Purchase
    1. United States purchased $828,000,000 square miles from France. This purchase from France doubled the size of America at this time. This was then known as the Louisiana territory. Jefferson later on issued an expedition to explore the new found area.
  • War of 1812

    1. America fought Great Britian. The cause of the War was because the British tried to restrict U.S trade with countries on the Eastern Hemisphere. America suffered many defeats from Canada, Native Americans, and British. Including the burning of the white house.
  • Mexican-American War

    A war between america and mexico. The u.s annexed texas and Mexico got angry with president Polk. Mexico calvary attacked U.S troops in disputed zones, killing a dozen troops. war lasted 2 years with U.S victory. U.S gained new territory from Mexico.
  • Compromise of 1850

    Henry Clay introduced a series of resolutions in an attempt to solve the crisis between the North and South. the fugitive slave act was amended and the slave trade in washington wasabolished.
  • Civil war

    Seven southern states seceded from the United states. They tried to take a union fort and that's when the war started. Fighting lasted for four long years. It was one of America bloodiest wars. Later on the issue of the battle was for slaves freedom.
  • Emancipation proclamation

    This document freed the slaves from slavery and gave them slavery. Abraham Lincoln thought that every man was the same so he felt it necessary to give freedom to slaves
  • Lincoln assassination

    Lincoln was in a theatre and was supposed to meet with grant. Lincoln shot in the head and killed instantly.
