    Columbus finds America

    Colubus left to seek out a new trade route with India. However, he ended up in a new place, which happened to be America.
  • 13 Original Colonies

    The 13 original colonies were:Delaware,Pennsylvania,New Jersey,Georgia,Connecticut,Massachusetts Bay,Maryland, South Carolina,New Hampshire,Virginia,New York,North Carolina,and Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. Even though they lived on a different continent, they were still under the control of Britain (The year is correct, but the month and day may not be. I could only find the year the first was established)
  • French/Indian War

    This war was also known as the Seven Years War. It was fought between the British and the French plus their Indian allies.
  • Industrial Reolution

    This was a time period where new inventions kept popping up. Some of these inventions are the steamboat and the telegraph.
  • Boston Tea Party

    This event was a protest done by the Sons of Liberty against the Tea Act. They climbed aboard British ships and threw the tea overboard.
  • Revolutionary War

    This war is also known as the American War of Independence. This war lasted a long time, but it helped the US gain independence from Britain.
  • Writing of the Constitution

    The Constitution was written in the summer of 1787.(I couldn't find the exact date). It sets up our government and explains the powers each section of the government has.
  • The Lewis and Clark Expedition

    Lewis and Clark were appointed by President Jefferson to explore the land bought in the Louisiana Purchase. They came back on September 3rd,1806. Their expedition contributed a lot of information in a lot of areas.
  • Missouri Compromise

    There was lots of tension between slave and free states. This compromise made Missouri a slave state and Maine a free state. It passed an ammendment that drew an imaginary line between slave states and free states.
  • Bleeding Kansas

    When the Kansas-Nebraska Act was passed, it allowed the citizens to vote whether they were a slave state or a free state. Lots of people came into Kansas to vote, from both sides. The pro-slavery and anti-slavery groups started fighting.
