Jamestown was the first permanent colony on the East side of the United States it was founded by Virginia company in 1607 and it served as the capital of Virginia for a while until they moved it to Williamsburg. -

On June 6,1944 General Dwight Eisenhower gave his thumbs up to invade German occupied France, over 150,000 American, British, Canadian, and French forces all stormed the beach of Normandy, France.The invasion was planned for months and the day before the invasion there were over one thousand bombing took place in order to cripple the German army they bombed railroads, bridges, airfields, and other strategic places they. Many brave soldiers lost there lives in combat but in the end they had won. -

The Montgomery bus boycott was a political and social protest against the Jim Crow laws it was against the the public transit system of Montgomery, Alabama. Federal ruling Browder v. The invasion took place on April 17, 1961 it did not go the way everyone expected It to go the invaders were outnumbered, out gunned , and out supplied they failed the invasion and were sent to jail. it was an embarrassment to the CIA and the United States government, It helped Fidel Castro for his government to get stronger and it also made him become allies with the Soviet Union storing weapon on Cuba. -
