History of the operating system

  • Mac OS

    The official launch of the Macintosh computer in January 1984, priced at $ 1,995 later changed to $ 2.495 U.S. dollars. Including its operating system Mac OS whose novel features was a Graphic User Interface GUI, Multitasking and Mouse. Provoked different reactions among users accustomed to the command line and crossing some use as a toy mouse.
  • MS-DOS

    In 1981 Microsoft bought an operating system called QDOS that, after making a few modifications, became the first version of MS-DOS (Micro Soft Disk Operating System). From there followed a series of changes up to version 7.1, version 8 in Windows Millennium, from MS-DOS which ceased to exist as an operating system component.
  • GNU/Linux

    On July 20, 2007 that operating system was called internally by Microsoft as version "7". Until then stated that Windows 7 would support on 32-bit and 64-bit On 13 October 2008 it was announced "Windows 7" Mike Nash said this was because it points to the simplicity, and the name should reflect that.
