In the fall of 1869 (the exact date is unknown), Cyrus Teed experienced a severe electric shock during one of his many medical and scientific experiments. During his unconciousnous, he claimed, he saw God as a male-female figure, who told him the secrets of the universe: Earth was hollow and the universe was within it, and that the Bible had to be translated into scientific prospects. Not to mention that earlier Teed thought that he had turned lead into gold.
