Suryavarman was throned and was largerly successful. He allied with the Chola emperor and won land and wars.

Angkor Wat is built under Suryavarman II. It was the largest of the Angkor temples and was dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu.

Jayavarman VII defeats the Chams and expands the borders of the Khmer empire to the furthest reaches of the lower mekong.
