    Oral communication is known to have been existed since the genesis of human kind. They had to memorize everything that was said if it was needed. So, their listening and memorizing skills became very good and powerful that they could use them in many circumstances like hunting and education.

    Written communication
    Written communication is known to be started with cave paintings. over the thousands of years, various surfaces have been used as a tool for writing, including wax-covered writing boards (by the Romans), clay tablets (in the middle east), strips of bark from trees (in Indonesia,Tibet and the Americas), thick palm-like leaves (in South east Asia) and parchment. (will fastiggi, 2018). Nearing the recent years, we can see the huge developments made for written communication as it is digitalized.

    "The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) began broadcasting educational radio programs for schools in the 1920s." (A.W. Bates, 2015) So, we can say that radio was firstly used in education in 1920s. Then, television was invented and "Television was first used in education in the 1960s, for schools and for general adult education." (A.W. Bates, 2015)

    In 1990, years after the invention of computer and Internet, the world wide web is launched. Its launching paved the way for web browsers and then smart boards. So, for the first time in history, computer with the help of Internet came in handy for education area.

    "Social media cover a wide range of different technologies, including blogs, wikis, You Tube videos, mobile devices such as phones and tablets, Twitter, Skype and Facebook." (A.W. Bates, 2015) Social media has been started to used in 1997 with a website called six degrees and still in use with many more applications programs and websites some of which serve as a tool for educational purposes.
