  • Floppy Disk Created

    Robert Metcalfe from Xerox invents the Ethernet. The Ethernet connects different computers together.
  • Apple is Founded

    Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak start Apple. They made the Apple 1 which is the first computer with a single-circuit board.
  • First GUI

    Apple's Lisa was the first personal computer to have a GUI. It also has a drop-down menu and icons. It happens to fail, but it evolves into the Macintosh.
  • Windows is Announced

    Microsoft announces the new Windows. This was a response to Apple's GUI.
