    The Louisiana Purchase
    Napoleon sold the Louisiana Territory to Thomas Jefferson for 15 million dollars. America doubled in size and gained ownership of the Mississippi River. This allowed America to grow Economically, Politically, and Geographically.
  • The Donner Party

    The Donner Party
    A group of American Pioneers who traveled to California in a wagon train got stuck in the Rocky Mountains. They suffered through a hard winter of 5 feet of snow having to turn to cannibalism to survive.
  • The Death of Elvis

    On this day The King of Rock & Roll died in his Memphis mansion, Graceland from what was said to be cardiac arrest. He died at the age of 42 his music is still popular to this day

    This is the day that the twin towers and the pentagon were hit by planes. Many lives were lost and a lot of brave people came together to crash a plane headed towards the white house. They now have a memorial in Pennsylvania.
