    The Louisiana Purchase and the Lewis and Clark journey
    The journey began in 1804 when their was a group of people who were hired to explore the Louisiana territory. The event was important because the Native Americans wanted an accurate map and land so they can live on. Lewis and clark were the people who were hired to explore the territory. They came across several events like the mountains,Indians, and wild animals.(McDougal-Littel,348).

    The California Gold rush began in 1848 when a man named James W. Marshall found gold. The news of the gold bought 300,000 people to California so they can find gold. The gold bought people from all around the world. People were finding gold in mountains and in rivers.     The beginning of the Civil War when the confederates started shooting at the fort because they sent supplies to the Confederacy and they decided to attack the fort for their supplies. No one got hurt helping the fort but the leader, Anderson surrendered and they the Confederates take over the Fort.

    The first two men to ever invent the airplane and be the first to succesfully fly it. They invented this airplane in North Carolina.
    The name of the first plane was called the Wright flyer.

    The 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote so everyone will have equal rights. Back then women weren't aloud to vote they had to stay home and take care of kids and clean the house.

    The date on which Japanese planes attacked the U.S. naval base and started bombing them. About 2,300 American soldiers died in Hawaii that day.

    The Supreme Court Justice Earl sent the ruling in the case Brown vs. the Board of Education. State-sanctioned segregation of schools was a violation of the 14th amendment.

    The mission of the Apollo 11 was to land two men on the moon to explore it and find information. Then, they had to come back to earth and explain what they discovered to the world. They happened to succesfully complete this mission without getting hurt.

    Elvis Presley died at the age of 42 from overdose on drugs. He was known as "the king of rock and roll" because he invented it. Elvis had a good life but he decided to hang with the wrong crowd and thats what got him killed.
