  • Kite flies

    Benjamin Franklin was the first person ever to fly a kite. He created a silk kite and a lightning strike hit the kite. It was a very big event in the world.

  • The First Fleet arrived

    The First Fleet arrived in Btany bay on the 20th of January 1788. Before the First Fleet arrived, Australia was populated with around 300,000 aboriginies. The First Fleet left England on the 13th of May 1787.
  • The Australian Gold Rush

    The Australian Goldrush first started in May 1851. Edward Hargraves said that he found gold near Bathurst. He went to the Californian gold fields and learnt some techniques to find gold.
  • American civil war

    The American civil war started in 1861, it was Americans bloodiest clash. There was 620,000 people killed and millions more that were injured.
  • First soccer match

    The first ever soccer match was played in London on the 19th of December 1863. The teams that played were Barnes football club and the Richmond football club, the result was a 0-0 draw.
  • statue of Liberty

    The Statue of Liberty was officialy up standing in America in April 1886. The statue of Liberty celebrated her 100th birthday on the 28th of October 1986.
  • Henry Ford

    Henry Ford was the founder of the Ford company. Ford was a very popular company and it still is today. It produced some of the best cars in the world.
  • Wright flyer

    The wright brothers made the first ever airplane. It was the plane that made a man rise with its own power. The people who invented this was OIrville and Wilbur Wright.
  • The titanic

    The titanic sank on the 15th of April 1912 by crashing into an iceberg. 1,517 people died from the titanic that was almost two thirds of the people on board. the titanic was 269.1 meters long and the height was 53.3 meters.
  • World War 1

    The World War first started in 1914 when Brittian and Germany went to war. Australia went to fight in the war on September 11th 1914. More than 9 million combants were killed.
