    Sam Walton opens first Wal-MArt in Rogers, Arkansas. He'd invested 95% of his capital into that first store.
  • Elementary and Secondary Education Act

    Elementary and Secondary Education Act
    ESEA was passed as a part of the "War on Poverty". ESEA emphasizes equal access to education and establishes high standards and accountability. In 2002, it was renamed the "No Child Left Behind" Act.

    The bodies of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman are found outside her home in LA. OJ Simpson is soon arrested for the crime and later acquitted in 1995.
