  • Rowley vs. Hendrick Hudson School District

Rowley fought due to not receiving adequate services. The district fought because Rowley was receiving services that still help her understand. This ruling made it so that school boards must provide individualized instruction that also gives adequate services. These services must prove to be beneficial to the student. When looking at the ruling this ensures that students with disabilities are receiving services that will help them instead of just bringing in money for the school district.
  • Winklemen vs. Parma City School District

Winkleman fought to be an advocate for their son, whom cannot advocate for himself. The district fought because they were following the IEP and IDEA.
